Fencing began for me age 42 with nothing more than wanting to give it a try. Since then I have been fortunate to have enjoyed success in local, regional, national and international events. The turning point came with new coach Daniel Bucur in Melbourne. Beginning in 2015 until his move out of the country in 2024, Coach Bucur was instrumental in my advancement in fencing. I will also add that all the people I have encountered along this journey have contributed to where I am today, and I am grateful for having crossed paths with them.

I have operated Treasure Coast Fencing Club since 2015 and has been privileged to have been able to keep the club going, introducing people to fencing. Competition continues locally and nationally, as well as ongoing practice at Space Coast Olympic Fencing in Melbourne. There, I keep skills sharp and also bring what is learned to pass on to students at club.
